Meet Amira

Amira Elhafsi is a certified fitness professional based in San Francisco, CA. Born and raised in Southern California, Amira grew up playing competitive sports, specifically dance and tennis. Upon earning her degree in Biopsychology from UC Santa Barbara, she accepted a role in clinical research at UCSF and made her way up to the Bay Area. Not long after, Amira went on to earn her master’s in Physiology & Biophysics from Georgetown University with the intention of pursuing a medical career. In 2022, Amira returned to SF and made her way into the corporate world after accepting a role for a large-scale Biotech company. Nine months worth of self-reflection later, Amira realized that neither medicine nor Biotech was for her and it was time to make a change.

Fast forward to today, Amira is finally pursuing the fitness career she always knew she wanted. Amira is now a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor whose strong background in Physiology allows her to take a functional, research-backed approached to fitness. Having experienced the challenges of navigating career uncertainty and pivoting to a brand new industry, Amira has a firsthand understanding of how intimidating it can be to feel like a beginner in any aspect of life. However, she has also realized just how empowering and invigorating it feels to take control of your life and develop a new skill set. So many of us fall into the routine of daily life; we become good at our jobs, good at sticking to old habits, good at being comfortable. Amira’s goal is to help others embrace discomfort and recognize the power in pursuing a new journey. Amira believes that everyone has the innate ability to break down perceived limitations, overcome self-doubt, and realize their full potential. Let’s achieve it together.
